Saying that you won't use a product (especially one that has had good reviews from many users here) because of these opt out addons, is like cutting off your nose to spite your face (IMO). Personally, I've never had problems with all the little extra's that Rocket division have added to the package because I follow Wizzards example and make sure I know what I'm installing (ever since I installed something blindly several years ago that destroyed some valuable and irreplaceable data). I've had to re purchase several games over the last several years because of damaged discs, so software such as Starburn is a Godsend, especially as it's been given away for free. It's enabled me to make backup copies of all my favorite DVD movies and Games, many of which needed backups due to the amount of play the discs got. I've used Starburn in preference to other DVD authoring tools ever since it was first given away over 2 years ago, because after comparing it to other packages that I've paid for it came out on top for performance and ease of use. Many of these developers would probably go out of buisness if they didn't jump on the band wagon. Unfortunately many software developers and distributors are starting to add such addons because there is money to be made. Yes, maybe they should make it a lot clearer, but buisness is buisness.

It takes but a few seconds to uncheck them during the installation wizzards progress. In wizzards defense, and IMO, there's nothing under hand about what Rocket Division are doing especially when you are able to uncheck these addons.
